Game-based Training on Conflict Management with a touch of Augmented Reality

CHALLENGE

This leading electronic equipment manufacturer wasn’t sure whether their management training was effective. Moreover, attending training for most managers & leaders was a mere checklist. No wonder the executives doubted the ROI on training budget.  

SOLUTION

When Savancy was consulted, our solution was that any training for managers and leaders, who are usually go-getters, should be a pull training. We created a decision-tree based gamified training. Every level of the game was constructed on a real-life experience of the company’s leaders. A new level was introduced every two weeks by putting QR codes in various public areas throughout the campus as well as on the online portal. The managers and leaders had to scan the QR code to play the new gamed scenario

Every scenario and level had various outcomes based on the managers choices. Every week, three picks from the leaderboard would share their learning & best practices through the same game. 

RESULTS

  • 90% learners fell in love with the game and would eagerly wait for the next level.
  • Company saved 75% cost for the same-topic training while having an increased engagement and effectiveness.
  • Almost all takers responded that they were able to mange conflicts more effectively than before.
